Overview
Civil Engineering Technology is devoted to the application of engineering principles and the implementation of technological advances in the design process. The program provides students with the skills necessary to enter the field of civil engineering as a technician with emphasis in four areas. After the student obtains a sound foundation in fundamentals through general and technical core courses, the individual may pursue studies in a variety of special engineering and scientific courses according to the individual’s interests and educational objectives including environmental, GIS, and surveying.

Civil CAD Technician - Starting salaries are between $12 to $16 per hour - $22 to $27 in a few years
GIS Technician - $12 to $18 per hour to start - $22 to $32 in a few years
Survey Technician (Crew Chief) - $12 to $14 per hour to start - $20 to $22 in a few years
