Hi, my name is Debbie Liskin and I am the Department Chairperson for our Cosmetology and Barbering program here at Indian River Community College. Although I have actually been an employee here for over ten years, more importantly I was a student in this very program over twenty five years ago! Immediately following my graduation (please don’t make me admit the year) I went to work as a cosmetologist and worked in the field for over fourteen years, not only as a stylist, a trainer, but also a successful salon owner for several of those years. After coming back to IRCC as a part-time student to gain a formal degree in business it seemed only too fitting to combine my knowledge in cosmetology and my love of education!

At IRCC we thrive to train the highest level of instructors, always keeping up with the current trends in the field. As several of our “team” is still working in the industry they are able to pass that knowledge and experience on to our students. So whether your interest is in:
