Bio

My name is Theresa Errante-Parrino. I am the Medical Assisting Program Director. I have been a Certified Medical Assistant for the past 10 years. I have been a Paramedic for 5 year and also have 7 years as a Basic X-ray technologist. In addition, I have been an Instructor for 8 years.

I have obtained 2 Associate in Science Degrees (one in Medical Assisting and the other in Emergency Medical Services Management) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelors in Science in Business Administration/Finance in 2000.

Since graduation, I have been working in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant in a several specialty doctor’s office. Some of the specialty offices I worked in included Family Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Urgent Care, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. I have also taken the skills and experience and applied them into the classroom where I have been teaching for the past 8 years.

In my spare time, I also volunteer as a State Certified Paramedic through my local fire rescue department. I am also President of the local Professional Organization of Medical Assistants. I also enjoy traveling. So far, I have traveled the whole East coast from Maine to Florida and a few off the east coast such as Tennessee, Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona. Plus also had a few international trips to Canada, Bahamas, Mexico. My goals in life right now is to complete my Doctoral Degree in Education-Educational Technologies.

I am originally from Long Island, NY, but moved to Port St. Lucie in 1996.

I hope to get to know all you well as you enter into this wonderful field of Healthcare.
