Objectives:

Computer Applications for Business is a distance-learning course designed to introduce students to microcomputer applications for business.  Major topics include windows operating systems, word processing, financial spreadsheets, and database applications.  One important thing that must be considered:  You must have a working knowledge of email and the Internet.  You also need the free Internet Explorer browser.  Access 97, Netscape, and some company firewalls cannot be used with this course.  In order to be successful in this course, you must meet these requirements to be a good independent learner.  The independent courses taught over the Internet demand that you be organized and responsible in your studies.  If this form of learning appeals to you, go ahead and give it a try.
