Welcome. This is the general information page for SLS 1101 Student Success and SLS 1501 College Study Skills. Here are the course descriptions for each: SLS 1101 three credits no prerequisites This 16 week course provides the new and returning student with special study skills proven to be effective by successful college students. New perspectives on note-taking, study skills, improved reading methods and test taking tactics, are presented to the students through lecture, multimedia, internet activities, guided modeling and individual and group activities. These new tools generate greater self-confidence and the ability to view learning as a natural part of the thinking process. SLS 1501 one credit no prerequisites This online course teaches students how to improve study skills
necessary for academic success at the college level.

There you will find current syllabi materials, copies of all of the handouts and websites used in the class.
