Mr. Lunceford earned a Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fl. and a Master's of Music Education with Emphasis in Conducting from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. He is currently a PhD. Candidate in the Educational Leadership program at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Fl.

He joined the faculty of Indian River Community College as an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of the Instrumental Music program in 1997. He was recognized as the Faculty of the Month in February 2000 and Club Sponsor of the Year for 1999-2000 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2004.

Mr. Lunceford assumed the position of Academic Director of Mathematics and Natural Sciences during the summer of 2004 and was recently promoted to Assistant Dean of Mathematics, Science and Fine Arts in 2006.
