Indian River State College

Students at Indian River State College utilize an electronic portfolio system known as LiveText ® to manage their Pre-Professional Program Portfolio throughout their Teacher Education Program. Required components of the Portfolio include Artifacts linked to the 12 Florida Educator Accomplished Practices or FEAPs – Pre-Professional level, as well as a Rational and Reflection, Impact on K-12 Student Learning, and Relation to the Uniform Core Curriculum. The forms needed to successfully complete the Pre-Professional Program Portfolio are included in this handbook and will be made available electronically through LiveText ® during the summer and/or fall of 2008.

LiveText ® can currently be purchased in IRSC’s The River Bookstore and is a required purchase for initial use in EME3410: Integrating Technology in the Classroom. Students will continue to use LiveText ® throughout their courses to organize and develop assignments demonstrating competency – Fulfillment – of the FEAPs.

You will work closely with IRSC's Education Faculty and course instructors in the completion of Critical Assignments (2 per course) linked directly to the 12 FEAPs. You may use these assignments or others as Evidence/Artifacts in the development of your Portfolio.
