Fontley R. Corrodus, Ph.D. |

Dr. Corrodus earned a Bachelor's and Master's from Tuskegee
University, a Master's from Auburn University, an Education
Specialist's from Alabama State University, and a Ph.D from La Salle
University. He has also completed graduate work in Social
Psychology at North Carolina State University as well as post
graduate studies in Higher Education Leadership at Nova Southeastern
University, in Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University, and in
Instructional Leadership at Northcentral University. Dr. Corrodus
is an alumnus of the Florida Community Colleges & Workforce
Education Chancellor's Leadership Seminar.

He joined the faculty of Indian River State College as
an Assistant Professor of Sociology, Psychology, and Education in 1991. He was promoted to the rank of
Associate Professor in 1994 and then to the rank of Professor in 2001.

|
Dr.
Corrodus assumed the position of
Academic Director of Communications and Social Sciences in 2004; he
was promoted to Assistant Dean of
Communications and Social Sciences in 2006.

|
Ms. Brown earned a Bachelor of
Arts Degree from Barry
University, and she's completed
additional coursework at Indian River State College and
Florida Atlantic University.
|
|
She joined
the staff of Indian River State College as a part-time
temporary secretary in 1984, and
then accepted an appointment as
a full-time employee at the rank
of Secretary I in 1985. She was
promoted to the rank of
Secretary II in 1989 and then to
the rank of Secretary III in
1995.
|
|
Ms.
Brown has served as an
administrative assistant in the
Offices of the Vice-President of
Arts & Sciences and the
Vice-President of Academic
Affairs. In addition to her
current duties in the Division
of Communications & Social
Sciences, she books field trips
for elementary, middle, and high
school students to the Halstrom
Planetarium. She is an active
member of the Florida
Association of Community
Colleges, where she has held
both state and local offices.
