The Division of Communications and Social Sciences at Indian River State College is one of five divisions within Academic Affairs. The Division of Communications and Social Sciences includes four instructional Departments: the Department of Communications & Education, the Department of English & Modern Languages, the Department of Humanities, and the Department of Social Sciences.

Communications & Education





The Department of Communications and Education offers coursework in reading, interpersonal communication, speech communication, education, and educational technology.

English & Modern Languages





The Department of English and Modern Languages offers coursework in English composition, creative writing, literature from America, England, and the world, and Spanish.

 

Humanities





The Department of Humanities offers coursework in philosophy, American history, world history, and the history of Western Civilization.

Social Sciences





The Department of Social Sciences offers coursework in anthropology, economics, geography, political science, psychology, and sociology.
